Who we are
Bit Technology ("we", "us") runs this website and the services sold through it. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your choices are.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, company, phone number, billing address and country.
- Order and payment records: what you bought, invoices and payment references. We never see or store full card numbers; card and PayPal payments are processed by PayPal.
- Domain registration data: the contact details you give for a domain name are passed to the registrar and, where required, the registry.
- Support messages: the messages and files you send us.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and security logs, used to keep the service safe and to detect fraud.
Why we use it
To create and run your account, deliver and bill for the services you order, answer your questions, protect against abuse and fraud, and meet our legal and tax obligations. We send service emails (invoices, renewal notices, security messages). We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
Only with companies that help us deliver the service: payment providers, domain registrars and registries, server and infrastructure providers, and our email delivery provider. They may only use the data to provide their service to us. We may also share data when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is open. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Security logs are kept for a limited time.
Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, sensitive keys are encrypted, and administrators must use two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to see, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to some uses. Write to support@bit.af and we will answer within a reasonable time. We may need to keep some data to meet legal duties.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms. If analytics is switched on we also use an analytics cookie to count visits.
Changes
We may update this policy and will show the date of the latest version at the top.
